Hello everyone! I would like to warmly welcome you to the Theta Mu chapter of the Chi Omega Fraternity. My name is Michelle Fleming and I am honored to serve as the Chapter President for 2020. My journey in Chi Omega began back in Fall 2017 when I went through recruitment as a first year at WPI. Ever since then Chi Omega constantly helps me foster such a wide variety of skills and connections. These past years have been some of the best, most challenging, most transforming years of my life and I owe so much of my growth to this beloved organization. Chi Omega has given me endless memories, incredible opportunities, and supportive sisters whom I consider family for a lifetime.
Our Fraternity was founded based on six purposes: friendship, high standards of personnel, scholarship, participation in campus activities, career and personal development, and community service. As Chi Omega women, we strive to excel in these aspects of our sisterhood on a daily basis. The foundation of our Chi Omega events is driven by these purposes, which allow us to give meaning to the activities we do together. As sisters, we love doing a wide variety of activities together, such as getting Boynton wings every Monday, attending movie premieres, lounging around our house in our pajamas, or dressing up for our socials.
I am incredibly proud of the impact Chi Omega has made on both WPI and the Worcester Community. Since our founding at WPI in 2014, we have helped grant a wish to send a young girl named Bethany to Disney World with her family. Her trip was made possible through our constant fundraising and through our partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Chi Omega is so much more than an organization to be involved in for four years. As we say, “Chi Omega is not just 4 years, but for life”. We are an incredibly close-knit group of women who love each other unconditionally.
These life-long friendships have changed our college experience for the better, and I would not trade it for the world. I am so proud to lead such a unique and genuine group of women, and I could not be more thankful for the lasting impact they have made on my life.
It was no accident that I found my home in Chi Omega. I am a Chi Omega on purpose, with purpose. Chi Omega is simply indescribable. I encourage you to explore our website as a small window into all that Chi Omega has to offer.
LICO,
Michelle R. Fleming
