RECRUITMENT

A LETTER FROM OUR RECRUITMENT CHAIR

Hello and welcome! My name is Carley Trudel, and I have the privilege of serving as Theta Mu’s Recruitment Chair for 2025.

When I first arrived at WPI, I didn’t anticipate joining a sorority. I felt I would be out-of-place due to the content I saw online and that Greek life at WPI would be the same as everywhere else. But after attending the Greek carnival, my perspective changed. I learned that each sorority on campus, at its core, is a supportive community of women who are always there to support each other. It was this that led me to sign up for formal recruitment.

Going into recruitment, I had no idea what to expect. I wasn’t sure what the process would be like or if I would find a place where I truly belonged. But I kept an open mind, which I encourage you to do as well.

The moment I stepped into Chi Omega, I felt at ease. My conversations flowed effortlessly, each one filled with a genuine connection. Every sister I met was just as engaged as the last, making me feel like I was already part of something special. They welcomed me as a friend, allowing me to be my true, authentic self. I felt completely seen, valued, and at home.

Joining Chi Omega has been the most meaningful decision of my college experience. It has introduced me to so many incredible women whose kindness, loyalty, and individuality inspire me daily. They are always there to support me, no matter the circumstances, and they continue to help me grow. I am endlessly grateful for the lifelong friendships this sisterhood has given me, and I truly can’t imagine college without it.

As you go through recruitment, my biggest piece of advice is to follow your heart. Reflect on each conversation with the mindset of finding people who make you feel seen, heard, and appreciated. The people make the place, so find the home you’ll love forever. You are so deserving of a sisterhood that embraces you for you, and I can’t wait to see where your journey takes you!

LICO,

Carley

A LETTER FROM OUR NEW MEMBER EDUCATOR

Hello and welcome! My name is Sophia Espinosa, and I have the absolute joy of serving as Theta Mu’s New Member Educator. Our chapter and I are so excited to meet you and share the love, laughter, and lifelong friendships that make our sisterhood so special.

When I first joined Chi Omega, I didn’t fully realize how much this chapter would shape me. Coming from over 2,000 miles away, I was unsure of where I would fit in but when I walked into Chi Omega I was welcomed with open arms, supported through every challenge, and celebrated in every success. The individuals around me have become my biggest cheerleaders, my role models, and my best friends. They have shown me what it means to lead with kindness, to embrace every part of myself, and to uplift others along the way.

Now, as New Member Educator, I have the privilege of walking alongside those who are just beginning their journey, providing guidance and encouragement every step of the way. This time is all about building connections, learning about values, and discovering what makes this sisterhood so special. My hope is that you feel the same warmth and belonging that I did—that you find friendships that make you laugh until you cry, mentors who inspire you, and a home where you are truly, wholeheartedly loved.

As you embark on this experience, my biggest piece of advice is to trust yourself. Look for the people who make you feel comfortable, valued, and appreciated for exactly who you are. No matter where your journey leads, you deserve a sisterhood that makes you feel at home.

This is just the beginning of an incredible journey—we can’t wait to see where it takes you!

With so much love,
Sophia
